Are you wondering if Stand Up Paddle board is something for you? Have you never been paddling SUP before, but want to try? Join us to learn the basics of Stand Up Paddle boarding while enjoying our wonderful location at the doorway to Stockholm Archipelago.
Our SUP introduction training is recommended for anyone who would like to start amazing adventure with Stand Up Paddling boards. This SUP introduction will equip you with the essential skills to get you started paddle boarding, while enjoying our fantastic location.
No previous paddling experience required. As part of the learning process getting wet and capsizing is possible, so come prepared for getting wet as well as a lot of fun and learning.
Learn basic SUP paddling skills
We meet in our kayak center on Resarö island. We start with a little theory and gearing up to get readytopractice the basic skills on the water. After collecting equipment, we will show you how to adjust paddle length. After short safety briefing and taking a look on the map, we can jump on our SUP boards to paddle through calm, sheltered waters, perfect for first SUP tour.
We will start with easy exercises to help you feel more confident on the board and to practice our stability. Total distance will be around 4 km and we'll adjust the route depending on the weather, especially wind direction.
* In case of very windy day there is a possibility to change SUP intro for kayak intro.
This SUP introduction training will cover information about: equipment, launching and landing, efficient forward stroke, stop and reverse paddling, turning the board, right position. You will learn how to carry SUP in a safety way. We will have also some fun in the water for those who want to practice rescue.

What to bring
- Swimming wear and towel
- Wetshoes, flip flops or sandals
- Change of clothes after paddling
- Waterproof case for your phone
- Water bottle
- Optional: wetsuit in case of colder weather
- A cotton towel, flop flops and a bottle of water, if you are interested in sauna after paddling
Prerequisites
- Normal physical condition required (You need to be capable to sit on the floor then get up without assistance)
- Ability to swim
- Weight limit, 110 kilo per person
