Today we celebrate World Water Day. Water is precious. More precious than many think.
The future of oceans and rivers is being challenged by many environmental threats. Some of them are: pollution, climate change, overfishing, dams and eutrophication.
Here some tips how you can help protect global water supplies:
💧Be aware of your water use at home. Take shorter showers and turn off the tap while brushing teeth.
💧Take account of your personal “water footprint. This is the amount of water you use in daily life. Water footprint includes water that is used to produce the food you eat, the energy you use and the things you own, like clothing, cars and furniture.
💧 Find out where your water comes from. It’s not the tap, it’s a river or lake.
